Online announcement of available items. Wall sconces in gilded bronze from the 19th century designed in the neoclassical Louis XVI style. Characteristic elements of the style include a central shaft shaped like a quiver or a pilaster topped with a motif of a blossoming torch or a floral ornament, typical of the second half of the 18th century. Regarding the ornamental motifs, there are vertical flutes, a central rosette, and a floral drop ending with a pine cone at the base. The two curved arms support beaded bobèches and false candles topped with flame bulbs. This type of lighting is very representative of French productions from the 19th century, inspired by the great decorative classics of previous eras. The electrical system meets current standards and everything works perfectly. The bulb holders are made of wood and are all intact. Sconces are in very good general condition. (The photos are part of the description) Height 31 cm and 39 cm with bulbs. Width 24 cm. Depth 12 cm. Weight 1.420 kg. Collection in Auxerre or Delivery via Mondial Relay or National delivery via Colissimo. For other countries in the European Union, delivery via international Colissimo. Free delivery in Auxerre and nearby suburbs. (Bulbs with screw fittings not provided) P.S.: The greyish colour under the cups in the first photos is a reflection of light; the sconces are indeed well gilded as shown in the last photos.
