Antique Victorian military commode in Oregon pine with nameplate.

We are delighted to offer for sale this superb original late Victorian military campaign chest of drawers made from Oregon pine, featuring hand-forged iron fittings and accessories, along with a brass nameplate bearing the name L Oakley. Likely used by a junior officer with limited funds, hence the use of less expensive materials, making it quite a rare piece. The chest of drawers exhibits a remarkable patina with decades of wear and a beautiful reddish-brown hue. Dimensions: height 57 cm, width 97 cm, depth 53 cm. Condition: good with wear consistent with age and use, slight discolouration.
