Oratory in solid walnut, Neo-Gothic Renaissance style – Late 19th century

This solid walnut oratory dating from the late 19th century is an exceptional piece. Its magnificent detailed carvings and twisted columns, in the neo-gothic renaissance style, bear witness to the craftsmanship of the time. This piece of furniture has 4 lockable drawers, decorated on the front with masks and foliage. Two molded doors, richly carved with plant motifs, open to reveal 10 interior drawers with the same decorations on the front as the exterior drawers. The top forming a lectern is surrounded by a frame carved with ova. The sides of the piece of furniture are also richly carved and fitted with large monogrammed medallions. This oratory rests on large wafer feet.
