Carved Louis XV walnut sideboard

Very beautiful walnut sideboard, richly carved with plant motifs and leafy scrolls. The front opens with two doors featuring moulded panels that are abundantly sculpted, adorned with symmetrical compositions of foliage, flowers, and scrolls. The doors are separated by a central carved post and enhanced with metal fittings and intricately designed keyholes. The upper part features two drawers at the front, framing a central carved motif. The drawers are decorated with scrolls, foliage, and Renaissance-inspired patterns. The whole is highlighted by a finely carved decorative frieze. The lower part ends with a richly shaped crosspiece, sculpted with volutes, foliage, and scrolls, resting on small, intricately worked feet. The sides are mounted with flat bands, reflecting the care taken in the execution of this piece of furniture.
