Pair of Art Nouveau Gilded Bronze Candle Holders

Magnificent pair of antique candlesticks from the Art Nouveau period (circa 1910-1920). They feature remarkable cast work with a circular, bulging base adorned with an openwork design of flowers (daisies or chrysanthemums) and intertwined stems. The shaft is finely chiselled with raised water leaf motifs. Material: Solid bronze (heavy objects for their size). In very good condition. Original gilding with an authentic patina that highlights the reliefs. Height: 8 cm. Diameter: 11 cm.
