"S35 LV" lounge chair by Marcel Breuer for Thonet

The iconic S 35 LV by Marcel Breuer for Thonet is a true classic of the Bauhaus. Designed in 1929 and first presented in 1930 at the Grand Palais in Paris during the Deutscher Werkbund exhibition, it illustrates the innovative principle of cantilever. The continuous tubular steel frame supports the cantilevered seat, while the cowhide upholstery and beech armrests offer a subtle contrast of textures. With the matching footrest, the set provides a comfortable seat and timeless Bauhaus design. The footrest shows some tears in the cotton backing beneath the cowhide. Otherwise, the set is in good used condition.
