Important Estate Chair, Louis XIV period – Early 18th century

Louis XIV chair with high back and baluster legs, with balls at the bottom. These are joined by spacers, cut and molded on the edges. The seat redone with straps and springs (for more comfort) is covered with a floral tapestry enveloping the entire chair. This is decorated with large old gold nails bringing character to the whole.
