Louis XV style armchair in moulded and carved beech, France, first half of the 20th century. Violin-shaped backrest with carved floral motifs, curved seat rail, and cabriole legs with scrolls. Upholstered in mechanical tapestry featuring a large bouquet of roses and peonies on a cream background, framed with a braid. The fabric is clean with slight discolouration, wood is patinated with minor wear to the carvings, and the seat is firm. A low seat for a bedroom or a fireplace corner, matching the armchair TC5332.
