Rustic Farmhouse Antique Original Folk Art Painted Bridal Cabinet

This early 19th-century painted bridal cupboard comes from Franconia, southern Germany, and is a fine example of regional folk art. The characteristic colours and stripe patterns give the piece a distinctive, authentic appearance. Notably, the exceptionally well-preserved original painting stands out. Because the cupboard was repainted at the end of the 19th century, the original paint layer has largely been preserved. After carefully removing this later paint, the old painting reappeared. The result is a cupboard with a beautiful historical character, with only slight wear visible on the crest and plinths. The piece is in museum-worthy condition. The cupboard still has the original, working lock with key and can be locked. Later shelves have been added inside. Old woodworm traces on the back have been checked and treated. A particularly authentic piece of Franconian folk art, with a rarely well-preserved original painting. An exclusive piece of furniture without a doubt.
