Bernard BUFFAT: "The Ocher Fish" Unique piece · Presentation plate in ceramic. When the object becomes a work of art. A graphic fish, outlined with a white line, swims in a speckled honey ochre glaze, with burnt shades of a distinctly Mediterranean warmth. The decoration is incised and enhanced with deep browns, the eye in green glaze, the scales hand-dotted. It bears the signature of Bernard BUFFAT, a potter from La Grange aux Potiers and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, a distinction that celebrates the excellence of craftsmanship and mastery of the trade. Underneath, his monogram and the mention "Unique Piece," hand-drawn, guarantee its uniqueness. Its rectangular shape with softened corners makes it a majestic object to display. On a console, a coffee table, a desk, or a shelf, it holds jewelry, keys, candles, or small treasures, or can simply be admired as a work of art. As a pinnacle of refinement, it can also be used as a small dish for receptions.
