MB Italy openwork metal rim tray

Charming tray with a neat aesthetic, openwork gold metal and base imitating rosewood, it is also very practical with its two handles included in its high edge which limits the risks of slipping of what is being transported. And easy to maintain because the tray is made of synthetic material (melamine Formica?). It has a label underneath which indicates that it is a creation of the italian company mb with which the designer ico parisi worked in particular. The label also indicates that it is stain and heat resistant. I would date this tray between the end of the 50s and the beginning of the 70s. It is in rather good condition, solid, the gilding is still very present, but obviously it does not hide some signs of its age and use: numerous but not excessively visible fine scratches on and under the tray (the two most visible scratches are underneath), small lacks of gilding at the level of the handles. I found it with three small pads glued underneath, I added the fourth. It measures 49 cm in length, 30 cm in width and 4 cm in height.
