Chinoiserie and Black Lacquer Four-Panel Folding Screen Room Divider, 1930s

This beautiful Chinoiserie and Black Lacquer Four-Panel Folding Screen Room Divider was made in the 1930s. It features two sides: one brown and orange Chinoiserie side depicting a wonderful landscape, and one black lacquer side adorned with painted flowers. Both sides are enhanced with artistic dragons painted at the ends. The screen has elegant shapes and curves, making it a unique piece and a captivating addition to antique, modern, space-age, or mid-century interiors. Made in China during the period 1920–1949, this item is in good vintage condition, showing light wear consistent with age and use, with a patina that reflects its history.
