Italian free standing wall unit in teak, 1960s

This vintage Italian freestanding wall unit comes from the 1960s. Designed as a modular and architectural storage solution, it can serve as a stylish room divider, the back side is veneered and nicely finished as well. Overall set size is H: 210 / W: 158 / D: 45 cm. The unit features six open shelves and two cabinets with inner shelves. The shelves are gradually larger as they come down. From narrow 18 cm wide shelves on the top to 28 cm wide on the bottom. The unit is supported by sculptural teak and black-painted metal uprights resting on brass feet, creating a light and balanced appearance contrasting warm teak wood. This vintage wall unit is entirely modular, and one can raise or lower all the parts, as well as interchange them as needed. Brass and solid teak details make this piece a great mid-century addition to your living room or bedroom. This set consists of: Two cabinets with inner shelves: H: 43 / W: 75 / D: 35 cm, 2 shelves, 28 cm depth, 2 shelves, 22 cm depth, 2 shelves, 18 cm depth, 3 teak uprights 210 cm long. The wall unit has been renovated. The wood has been cleaned and finished with thin layers of satin lacquer, very reminiscent of the original one. Metal parts have been repainted. Overall in great renovated condition.
