6x Børge Mogensen J39 in Oak, 1980s FDB Møbler, Denmark

Set of six J39 Dining Chairs by Børge Mogensen. Designed in 1947 by Børge Mogensen for FDB Møbler, Denmark. This set was produced in the 1980s and is crafted in solid oak with papercord seats. The iconic J39, also known as the “People’s Chair, ” exemplifies Mogensen’s dedication to functional craftsmanship and honest materials—combining Shaker-inspired simplicity with timeless Danish modern design. The chairs are in good vintage condition with light traces of use in accordance with the age of the chairs; one of the chairs shows more traces of use, mainly on the backrest in the form of scratches. The last couple of pictures are from this specific chair. All chairs have been freshly rewoven in our own workshop, so all chairs have new papercord seats. The maker's stamps are under the papercord, so I added a picture of the label during the weaving process. HxWxDxSH: 76x48x42x46cm.
