Elegant pair of walnut armchairs, dating from the first half of the 19th century, in the spirit of the Restoration – Charles X. The armchairs feature a sober and balanced architecture, with a padded rectangular backrest, a generously rounded seat at the front, and turned front legs. They are particularly distinguished by their curved armrests ending in wide scrolls, resting on turned supports. The wood has a pleasant warm and aged patina. The backs and seats are upholstered in a floral and medallion patterned fabric, in shades of red, ochre, yellow, and green, highlighted by a traditional finish of brass nails. The pair forms a particularly warm decorative ensemble, suitable for both a classic interior and a more contemporary decor. Period: first half of the 19th century.
