Set of four Louis XVI style seats comprising a pair of armchairs and a pair of chairs, made of carved wood with a warm patina, solid beech. The frames feature a characteristic neoclassical decorative repertoire: tapered fluted legs with rings, rectangular backs framed by mouldings adorned with bead friezes and interlacing, scroll armrests, carved apron, and corner rosettes. The back of the seats reveals uncarved structural wood, confirming the traditional craftsmanship of French seat makers. The current upholstery, in geometric patterned fabric of blue, beige, and terracotta, needs to be completely replaced – full reupholstery is required (intervention possible on estimate by the seller's workshops). Good structural condition. Minor restorations may be needed on the frames. Dimensions of armchairs: H. 83 cm – W. 61 cm – D. 52 cm – Seat height 42 cm. Dimensions of chairs: H. 84 cm – W. 47 cm – D. 42 cm – Seat height 42 cm. Total weight: approximately 50 kg. Shipping is not included.
