Covered pot/candy dish "duck"

Rare covered pot in ceramic by the important French ceramist Pol Chambost. This model is distinguished by its stylised lid handle with organic shapes evoking a zoomorphic silhouette ("duck neck"), characteristic of the artist's repertoire of free forms. The piece is covered in a deep turquoise glaze of high quality, featuring a beautiful network of regular crackles. The colour has remained very bright and vibrant. Piece signed under the base. An iconic example of the revival of French ceramics in the 1950s. Height approximately 18 cm and maximum diameter approximately 40 cm.
