Elegant silver-plated tea and coffee set comprising 4 pieces: • Coffee pot, height 22 cm. • Teapot, height 28 cm. • Covered sugar bowl, height 19 cm. • Milk jug, height 16 cm. Each piece features a curved body resting on four scrolled feet adorned with leafy medallions, highlighted by a fine frieze of pearls. The wooden handles (probably rosewood or walnut) add a warm touch that contrasts harmoniously with the brilliance of the silver plating. Two of the pieces bear the "C&L" hallmark accompanied by a shooting star, the mark of the Parisian silversmith Émile Chauvin & Lacombe, active in 1920, as well as a number indicating the percentage of silver deposited. For the other two, the hallmarks have partially faded over time. Condition: Overall in good condition. Some fine scratches from use due to cleaning. Note a minor restoration to the pine cone-shaped knob of the sugar bowl (the knob has been reattached), and traces of coffee grounds at the bottom of the coffee pot. A fine example of the refinement of early 19th-century Parisian goldsmiths, ideal for collecting or tabletop display.
