Rare set of 5 plates and 1 dish by Cesare Sartori for SICA – 1950s. A magnificent ceramic dinnerware set consisting of five plates and one dish, designed by Cesare Sartori for the Italian manufacturer SICA (Società Italiana Ceramica Artistica), founded in Nove, Vicenza, in 1946. The pieces date from the 1950s and feature a hand-painted decoration depicting a fisherman. Each plate is signed "SICA" on the scene and bears a "Italy" mark with a serial number underneath. Characteristics: Period: 1950s. Origin: Italy, SICA manufacture. Artist: Cesare Sartori. Material: Hand-painted ceramic. Decoration: Fisherman scene.
