Round vase with a flared neck, made of glazed ceramic, signed "Jacquet" underneath the base. On a nuanced turquoise background, a decoration of blue branches, dark leaves, and small pinkish-brown berries unfolds. Two friezes of blue dots frame this stylised plant composition. The interior and the edge of the neck are covered with a shiny black glaze, which is also applied to the small foot. A piece with contrasting colours and a design reminiscent of Art Deco style. Paul Jacquet (1883–1968), a ceramicist based in Annecy, contributed to the revival of Savoyard artistic pottery. His creations combine everyday shapes with stylised plant or geometric decorations, in the spirit of the decorative arts of the interwar period. Careful packaging with protections suitable for the fragility of the piece.
