Height: 12.5 cm. *** Hubert Krumeich-Remmy (1872-1944) was the eldest son of the potter Jean Krumeich and Catherine Remmy. He attended the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg from 1891 to 1896 and then joined the family pottery. He built the first kiln with three side flues. He was the initiator of the gathering of potters into a sales counter in 1922, of which he was the president. During his lifetime, he was the most important stoneware manufacturer in Betschdorf and was the first potter to consistently introduce the production of novelty items. Single and childless, Hubert Krumeich passed away in Oberbetschdorf on 10 March 1944.
