Art Deco vase by Charles Catteau for Boch Frères Keramis (D.1049)

This toupie vase in glazed earthenware, designed by Charles Catteau for Boch Frères Keramis, perfectly embodies the elegance and vibrancy of 1920s Art Deco. The decor 1049 is characterised by yellow and blue stripes on the neck, complemented by five arrangements of stylised carnations that harmoniously descend along the body of the vase. Round blue stamp mark: Made in Belgium – Boch Fes – La Louvière – Belgian manufacture under the base and the signature of the decor "D. 1049 Ct." attest to the authenticity of this piece.
