Antique Hobbs & Co. English Roll Top Cylinder Desk

A truly outstanding piece of victorian mahogany antique furniture this beautiful flamed mahogany cylinder desk features a small up stand to top, a large barrel fronted desk compartment, and a quality fitted interior. The inside of the desk features birds eye maple veneer fronted drawers and numerous pigeon holes fir stationary and letters etc. The desk features a slide out front which has three tulle leather compartments with a convenient lift up writing slope. This sits upon two pedestal bases featuring graduated drawers fitted with the original turned mahogany handles. Both pedestals still feature the original brass and porcelain castors, making the desk easy to manoeuvre. The desk is in good condition, unfortunately, we do not have any of the keys for the drawers. The desk splits into three individual sections for ease of transportation and reassembly. A beautiful, top quality desk perfect for any period interior. Signed hobbs & co london.
