Exceptional: cosmos american desk (circa 1900). superb model.

A rare US-made COSMOS desk, its exceptional patina instantly recognizable! Here, it shines as brightly as ever on this desk, which seems to herald the arrival of Art Deco with its solid side panels and clean lines. The overall effect is... Stunning! Features the iconic COSMOS plaque. It functions perfectly but without a lock. Inside, a magnificent desktop and an "amphitheater" of small drawers and pen trays of varying sizes and functions. There's even a small door concealing a tiny drawer. The front of one of the pen trays has been restored. Below, two retractable shelves, a central drawer with a "made in USA" lock (no key). On the sides, four drawers on the left and three on the right, including a double drawer with a trompe-l'oeil front. It has minor flaws such as a few chips in the veneer (on the edge of the tabletop, see photo), marks, scratches, and other signs of wear inherent to its age. But these high-end pieces of furniture were made to last a lifetime. It remains very sturdy and in excellent overall condition. Mounted on its cast iron casters. Can be disassembled for transport.
