Shannon File Co drum desk in Victorian walnut with certificate.

We are delighted to offer for sale this original drum desk, absolutely stunning, very rare and antique from the Victorian era by Shannon File Co LTD, made of walnut, with a certificate of authenticity from British Antique Exporters Limited. This desk is crafted from exquisite burr walnut with satinwood drawer fronts and internal panels, the top is covered in hand-dyed leather with gold leaf patterns, and it includes two sliding service trays for the butler designed to protect the desk surface. The sale includes a laminated certificate guaranteeing its production date around 1880. The desk also bears the original plaque "THE SHANNON DESK Shannon File Co LTD Ropemaker St London" and a registration plaque dated 1889. The condition is excellent with normal signs of age and use that add to its charm. The desk includes the original functional key, all internal drawers are present, and some drawer lining dividers.
