Blue Chinese floral porcelain coupe on a bronze base table centrepiece.

This superb centrepiece is adorned with a floral decoration in cobalt blue on a white background. It is a footed bowl decorated with flowers and birds in shades of navy blue. Of fine craftsmanship, the mount is made of chiselled bronze and features clawed feet. Known as "Qinghua", this blue decoration was invented in China, then adopted by Asian porcelain makers and spread to Europe by the East India Company. This bowl is signed "MRPC" for the Royal China Manufacture. In good condition, this bowl comes from China and measures 32 X 22 X 12.5 cm. Please note: there is a trace of glue between the foot and the bowl.
