Rare antique grand compotier Longchamp Terre de Fer model Daisies polychrome

Superb large antique compote in Terre de Fer from the Longchamp pottery, "Daisies" model in polychrome, very rare, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1890-1910. Magnificent romantic Art Nouveau decor, bucolic, featuring daisies, foliage, grasses, and scrolls in dark pink transfer, delicately enhanced by hand with shades of fuchsia pink, mauve, nuanced green, yellow, and brown. The slightly scalloped rim and simple foot highlight the elegance of the interior and exterior decor. 25.5 cm in diameter, 13.5 cm in height, 11 cm in diameter for the foot, and approximately 6.5 cm in depth of the bowl. Exceptional condition, close to new for a piece of this age. A few light scratches from use on the interior, 1 small manufacturing defect on the rim, and a small raised grain in the centre, very discreet. Weighs approximately 1 kg.
