Two Thonet chairs Romania model Charlie Chaplin from the 1950s/60s.

Two pretty dining/occasional chairs made by Thonet in Romania around 1950/60. Made from high-quality deep dark brown wood in an elegant design with round cane seats in a lovely light brown shade. These chairs are nicknamed "Charlie Chaplin" as they were used in his famous sketches in cafés. The curved shapes of the design give it a very elegant form, which will be a fantastic addition to any dining room! Marked "Roumania" on the frame. Made in Romania, where Thonet has maintained production facilities for decades. They remain in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Tiny nicks on the cane, very stable and solid. Feel free to contact me for more information or photos.
