Set of 2 bistro chairs by Jacob and Joseph KOHN No. 48 from around 1890, there are several versions of this model that have evolved over time. Here it is with a ring connecting the legs and a round wooden seat, in a shellac colour "dark oak", a classic of bistros from the 1890s/1900s. We have managed to preserve the patina of time. -- Very beautiful and in good condition, stable and solid, ready to serve ---- Under the 2 chairs, there is the stamp J & J KOHN. Kohn filed a patent around 1884 for fixing the front legs with metal screws, sturdy and easy to assemble in the branches of various European countries. (See sketch attached…) This chair is of ¾ size, neither small bistro nor large dining room, yet high in its seat height. The reinforcements, optional in the catalogue, have contributed to their current excellent condition!! Seat height: 47 cm total height: 88 cm ------ Seat diameter: 39 cm.
