Elegant antique writing desk with a refined decor and lines inspired by the Louis XVI style. The piece features beautiful geometric chevron marquetry, a marble top, and decorative metal fittings. It opens with: 1 upper drawer; 1 drop-down front forming a writing surface, with a leather-covered tray; 2 doors at the bottom. The interior of the drop-down front is particularly well-crafted and offers ample storage: compartments, sections, and several small drawers. The fronts of the interior drawers are themselves adorned with an elegant chevron marquetry design. The piece also includes its decorative locking elements and key. The tapered legs are enhanced with decorative ornaments.
