Secretary of the Board in Mahogany, 18th century.

Directoire Secretary in Mahogany, late 18th century. It rests on two front turned feet ending in brass sabots and two rear spindle feet. It consists of a drawer in the upper part, two doors in the lower part, and a drop front fitted with black leather revealing a theatre. The theatre is composed of 8 drawers and a hidden trapdoor. The piece is made of oak and veneered in mahogany, with the whole framed in brass moulding. Finished with shellac varnish.
