Battleship game board G Mallet

Superb oil painting signed by Georges Mallet, depicting a dramatic and detailed maritime scene. The work features several ancient sailing ships navigating on a turbulent sea, with a richly detailed large galleon in the foreground displaying flags (notably with distinct patterns). The overall atmosphere is striking, marked by a dramatic sky in dark and golden hues, typical of romantic or classical marine art. Dimensions of the painting are 100x50cm. Framing is wooden covered with gold leaf.
