French oil painting, signed Chauvry, 1929

Stunning french oil painting on panel, signed chauvry and dated 1929. It shows a scene of a sailboat during a storm. The frame is very beautiful. The scene has an impressive power, you can almost feel the sailors' struggle to save their lives. The line is firm and the colours are beautiful as well as terrifying. It is in very good condition, it could need a cleaning, but I like this tone that it has acquired with the patina. The frame has a little chip close to the signature. Measures 24 cm high and 16 cm wide, with the frame it measures 36 cm high, 29 cm wide and 5 cm deep.
