Antique Hardwood Desk with Leather Top and Slanted Drawer

We are delighted to offer for sale this exceptional quality Victorian desk made of solid mahogany, handcrafted, featuring an original green leather top and a secret central drawer with a writing slope. Each side cabinet has cupboard doors opening onto country-style drawers with flat handles. The central drawer also contains a storage space. The original key works with both doors, although one of the locks is temperamental. The desk has been carefully cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished, showing normal patina related to age and wear, with some visible marks. The item disassembles into three parts for easier transport. Dimensions (at the widest point): Height 81.5 cm, Width 137.5 cm, Depth 76 cm, Knee width 57 cm, Knee height 67.5 cm. The leather finish has a natural patina with creases and wear; annual waxing is recommended to preserve moisture. Do not expose the hand-dyed leather directly to prolonged sunlight to avoid drying out and discolouration.
