This Art Deco sideboard in rosewood veneer features an elegant and architectural silhouette, characterised by curved lines, symmetry, and the depth of the wood that gives it a presence that is both understated and luxurious. The rosewood reveals a wavy grain with warm hues, animating the façade with a natural and refined movement. The curved doors open smoothly, showcasing demanding craftsmanship, while the long, subtly curved golden metal handles add a luminous touch that highlights the modernity of the design. The central section, rhythmically adorned with concave vertical panels and brass inlays, reinforces the geometric spirit typical of late Art Deco and creates a visual balance between decorative verticality and solid volumes. The entire piece rests on a recessed base with a chamfer, lightening the structure and giving the furniture an almost floating appearance. This base is encircled with metal at the lower part. Inside, two drawers and shelves on brackets provide ample storage space for crockery, table linen, or decorative objects, in line with the functional purpose of Art Deco furniture designed for a modern and organised lifestyle. This sideboard thus embodies the sought-after alliance of the period: an elegant and structured design, a precious essence, and artisanal craftsmanship that endures through time with distinction. Period: 1940. Restored in our cabinetmaking workshop. 260526.
