Overview. Original Art Deco sideboard from Paris, circa 1930, attributed to Georges & Gaston Guerin (signed). Design. Macassar ebony veneer with high-gloss piano lacquer and striking banded grain. Polished brass trim and a curved central brass ornament spanning the two middle doors. Construction. Interior finished in satin-polished oak; drawers constructed in mahogany and oak with brass locks and escutcheons. Doors counter-veneered in rosewood and lacquered; original brass key bushes, hinges and keys present. Storage. Two curved side doors and two central doors reveal adjustable shelving on the sides and a long adjustable shelf in the centre. Two lockable central drawers provide secure storage above the middle shelf. Dimensions. H 99 cm × W 201 cm × D 51 cm (measurements as provided).
