A rosewood secretary desk dating from the late 19th century, remarkable for its ingeniously concealed drop-front. This refined piece offers six spacious drawers for storage, as well as a sliding writing surface with a central niche surmounted by three small drawers. The drop-front is covered in black leather adorned with a gilt vignette and a delicate central motif, adding a touch of distinction. Each drawer has wooden knobs and is equipped with a working lock and its original key. The desk is topped with an elegant white Carrara marble, delicately veined with gray, which underscores its noble character. It rests on splayed blackened wood legs, topped with a discreet plinth. ******* Period: Late 19th Century. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Waxed finish.
