One-of-a-kind pair of Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles) Chinoiserie-inspired blue and white hand-painted ginger jar table lamps paired with new blush pink gathered silk shades. Height includes lampshade. Each base is made from a Royal Delft ginger jar, hand-painted by B.J. Vogelezang, who worked as a specialized Delft painter at De Porceleyne Fles from 1957 to 1981. The decoration fills the face of each jar with a Chinoiserie-inspired garden scene with dense arrangements of peonies, rendered in tones ranging from deep, saturated cobalt to lighter washes. The quality of the brushwork is evident — this is not production-line painting but the confident, practiced hand of someone with decades of experience. The base of each piece carries the complete Royal Delft authentication, all hand-painted under glaze: the factory's signature bottle mark with JT initials and "Delft, " the painter's initials B.VO to the left, and the year code C.P. Confirming 1971 to the right. Each base also retains the original shaped gold paper sticker of A. Jungerhans — the distinguished Rotterdam retailer of porcelain and fine goods, founded 1882 and active for 125 years — an added fun layer of provenance.
