1 chair "Design is not always a matter of drawing" by Nguyen+Hafner

Second chair from the "Design is not always a matter of drawing" collection (2024). This unique piece was designed by the Swiss duo Nguyen+Hafner for NOV Gallery (Geneva). It was first presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2024, and later exhibited during Zürich Design Week. Created as part of NOV Gallery’s “Out of the Woodworks” open call, the chair explores new ways of valuing timber in contemporary design. The project encourages designers to reconsider wood not only as a sustainable resource but also as a material with history and potential for reuse. Reconstructed from existing wooden elements, the piece embodies both circular design principles and a dialogue between craft and technology. Dimensions: 55 × 60 × 100 cm. Materials: Mixed wood species, transparent varnish finish (3 layers).
