Very rare and magnificent suede armchair model Bachelor or 3350 by Danish designer Verner Panton, original edition by Fritz Hansen, 1953. The Bachelor armchair is the first success of designer Verner Panton. The construction and design of this chair are very simple. It consists of a polished steel tube frame and a seat in suede leather. The tubular structure is shaped like an N with two spacers that connect the two parts and suspend the cowhide seat. Designed in 1953, this is an original production made by Fritz Hansen. Another feature of these seats is that they are completely disassemblable thanks to the tubes fitting into one another, a truly modern and avant-garde design for a piece of furniture from the 1950s. The armchair is in very good vintage condition. The chrome metal structure is in generally good condition with some minimal signs of wear. The suspended seat in fawn suede has a beautiful patina from use, the leather is still well taut and solid. The armchair is fully functional and has its original stamp from the Danish publisher Fritz Hansen under the seat.
