Set of 2 "PK22" armchairs with satin steel frame and suspended cognac leather seat. Designed by Poul Kjærholm for E. Kold Christensen, model introduced in 1955. Designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1955, the "PK22" is considered one of the most iconic projects of postwar Danish design. The minimal satin steel frame supports a suspended cognac leather seat, stretched between the metal supports in an essential construction that combines geometric rigor and comfort. The absence of superfluous elements and the balance between industrial materials and natural surfaces reflect Kjærholm’s approach, known for his research into proportions and the relationship between steel and leather. Produced by E. Kold Christensen, these seats retain a lived-in patina that enhances the authentic character of the model. Good condition. It show signs of age, especially on the leather seats.
