Brutalist lounge chair designed by Sonja Wasseur in the 1970s. The chair features a black lacquered oak frame with saddle leather details and cushions upholstered in leather. The adjustable backrest can be positioned at various angles for more comfort. All furniture by Sonja Wasseur was handmade in her Amsterdam atelier and produced in very limited numbers. Her work is highly distinctive and characterized by exceptional craftsmanship. The chair remains in good original condition with signs of age and use consistent with its history. The leather has developed a beautiful natural patina over time, enhancing its character. Free from tears, stains, and structural damage. Seating height 38cm.
