Lounge chair designed by Tage Poulsen in Denmark. Architect, furniture designer, and Danish artist, Tage Poulsen is known for his unique and powerful creations in solid wood, now associated with Scandinavian brutalism. Chairs by this designer rarely appear on the vintage market. The structure is made of solid oak and follows a clear and additive construction principle: the armrests are formed from horizontal boards, the supporting structure from vertical boards, while the backrest is composed of vertical slats. This results in a powerful and architectural formal language, where each element remains visible and contributes to the whole – finely crafted, yet deliberately archaic in its form. The seat and back cushions, placed freely, are made of thick brown-red leather. Generously filled with foam, they offer excellent seating comfort, and the warmth of the leather contrasts beautifully with the light oak – an ideal reading nook. We also offer a second identical chair, an ottoman, as well as the large coffee table from the same series by Tage Poulsen – fully assembled without screws, in solid oak, with a lift-top and storage space. In separate listings, the pieces are also offered as a complete set – a rare opportunity to acquire a complete living room from this designer. Condition: very good vintage condition – stable oak structure with only slight signs of use due to age, leather cushions with a beautiful natural patina. A rare piece of Danish craftsmanship for exceptional interiors. Dimensions: approximately 87 × 85 × 75 cm (width × depth × height)
