Some designs immediately show that they have been created with care and expertise. This Sitinut lounge chair, designed by Göte Göperts for his company Botema AB in 1963, is a beautiful example. A rare piece from Sweden, with a shape that brings calm and character to the interior. The chair combines black leather and light beech, connected by a graphic tubular metal frame. This mix of materials creates a beautiful balance between clean lines and organic shapes. Our example is equipped with the original cushion and a matching support cushion, both in excellent condition, making the chair even more comfortable and complete. The Sitinut is stunning as a centrepiece, but it also easily combines with other styles, from Scandinavian modern to mid-century. In our workshop, the chair has been completely disassembled and treated with care. The wooden parts have been stripped of old maintenance products, lightly sanded, and nourished with a matte furniture oil that reveals the warm blonde hue of the beech once again. The brass connecting screws have been cleaned and polished. The leather has been deeply cleaned and restored with a high-quality wax to regain its natural shine and suppleness. The chair is in very good condition and can be used immediately.
