Toilet commode with railway system

Dressing table or toilet chest of drawers in the Louis Philippe style and period, 19th century. Furniture made of solid wood, walnut burl on the fronts, sides, and top. The toilet space is revealed by lifting the top plate. A railway system allows the marble top to move forward when the top plate is opened. The white marble, Carrara marble, completely covers the work surface as well as the edges to a height of 14 cm. Three large drawers, all in solid wood, walnut burl on the front, dovetail joints. They are equipped with a functional lock, with one key provided. The base is dressed in wood, with wide, stable, and solid feet. Beautiful chest of drawers in very good condition. There are discreet cracks on the marble edges and traces of woodworm on the back of the furniture; the sides, front, and top have been preserved.
