Raymond martinez 1896 - 1969 a wooded path pastel on cardboard 64.3 X 49 cm signed lower left: r martinez dimensions with frame: 73 X 58 cm raymond martinez obtains the first painting prize from the municipal school of drawing oran in july 1909. He moved to arfeuilles in allier in 1930. The artist participated in the 43rd salon des indépendants at the grand palais in paris in 1932 with two works – surprise - bords de rivière (n°2620) and arfeuilles: sunny street (n°2621). He is also known as an orientalist painter.
