Painting Under snowy wood mountain landscape by Victor DUMAY (1901-1981)

Superb painting made with watercolor gouache (or enhanced watercolor) on paper. The work is magnificent and represents a view of a snow-capped mountain river in twilight undergrowth. Beautiful atmosphere and, as the photos attest, you can appreciate the delicacy of the touch, obviously not the work of a beginner painter. There is indeed reference to victor dumay (1901-1981), illustrator (cycle) in the dijon region. The watercolor sold here having itself been bought on dijon, it is very likely that the work is by victor dumay. For now, the painting is framed (with frame and glass). In view of its dimensions, I will not take the risk of sending the work with the glass: the ideal being to pick up the work at home, in case of delivery, you will tell me if you want to keep the frame without glass or that I send you directly the work in roll, more secure... Dimension with frame: 54 / 69 cm.
