Bombé chest of drawers in the French Louis XV style.

This is a French bombe chest of drawers in the style of the Louis XV Renaissance. The characteristic bombe front and sides give it an elegant and fluid silhouette. It features a rich polished reddish-brown wood finish with painted decoration: a central floral bouquet framed by golden motifs. It has two drawers. This piece is adorned with gilt bronze mounts and handles (ormolu), including corner fittings, lock entries, and decorative feet. The top is made of green marble with a shaped edge that follows the curves of the furniture. The cabriole legs are embellished with gilt mounts. It is not an original piece from the 18th century but a 20th-century reproduction in the Louis XV Rococo style, made in the Netherlands. Due to its age, it shows some signs of use.
