Louis XV commode in wood and marble
Curved Louis XV style commode dating probably from the first half of the 20th century, characterized by its voluptuous lines, chiselled bronze fittings, and its rich beige marble top with moulded edges. Covered in precious veneer with geometric and floral patterns — likely made of rosewood or elm burl — it captivates with its classic and timeless elegance. Its generous proportions and refined profile make it a striking centerpiece in a distinguished bedroom or living room. Condition: The structure is perfectly sound, stable, and functional, with drawers that slide properly. The piece shows a beautiful overall patina in its original state: there are some superficial micro-scratches from use on the varnish as well as slight signs of wear consistent with its age, which do not detract from the charm and presence of the whole.
