Beautiful antique compote dish, ironstone, signed Sarreguemines Digoin, collection “Verdun”, circa 1895 - 1905. Delicate Art Nouveau decoration featuring a frieze of four-leaf clovers and other ornaments. Subtle blue-green colour. Ideal as a fruit bowl, for biscuits and sweets, or whatever your imagination suggests. Brings charm and elegance of yesteryear to the table. It is in very good condition. Bright white and shiny earthenware, no chips. Small patina mark on the base.
